Putting Customers First

Leading companies Poundland and Derby Homes provided an inspirational network session for organisations within the Housing Sector at Wednesday’s Business Excellence in Housing event.

Held at the headquarters of Midlands based Poundland this event in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Housing and the National Housing Federation provided participants with some fresh perspectives on how to put customers first.

Tim O’Donnell’s (Retail Director at Poundland) passionate talk gave an insight into how Poundland's focus on the customer and their changing needs and expectations has led to significant growth over the past 5 years. Julie Eyre and Mary Holmes gave an inspirational and practical insight into how a focus on the customer can deliver three star excellent.

The event hosted by East Midlands CIH Chair and Head of Performance Solutions at IiE Julian Beaney, attracted housing organisations from across the Midlands. “I am delighted that this event proved to be so popular and delegates have gone away with some fresh thinking for such a topical issue given the introduction of the new regulatory regime in just two months time. The feedback has been very positive and we look forward to running similar events later in the year”
